INTRODUCTION & PROFILE

Niagara Track and Castings Ltd is a procurement management company that offers over 35 years of experience specializing in new product development and multi-year material supply contracts. Dedicated to a "Protocol of Excellence", our products include custom castings as well as machined trackwork components developed for the Canadian Transit Authorities and Regional Short-line Railroads. In addition, NTC can provide material/process selection and rapid prototype pattern equipment for the validation of design.

NTC has partnered with ISO 9001:2000 foundries to produce Investment Grade & Green Sand Mold Castings. Material poured ranges from ductile & gray iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and bronze. Recent upgrades to automatic mold carousels, no-bake coring equipment and multi-unit induction furnaces have enabled our facilities to produce a wide range of castings from .5 to 1000 lbs.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

For all projects, NTC will implement and maintain a comprehensive QA Program & QC Plan to ensure contractual compliance.

OBJECTIVES :
  • Fulfill customer requests in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications and governmental requirements through qualified personnel, equipment and procedures.
  • Appoint a QA Manager separate from plant production that shall be responsible for the NTC QA Program and have final decisions related to non-conforming quality issues.
  • Prevent, detect early in process, record and dispose of non-conforming products or services.
  • Implement specific quality practices of inspecting & testing relative to contract requirements.
  • Produce QC documentation to verify that materials and products meet quality parameters.
  • The continuous enhancement of final manufactured goods, production methods and the NTC QA System.
  • Form, Fit & Function will be the decisive parameter for non-conformance or design issues for cast and machined components.
